Living Life in Harmony

When I am leading a retreat, I sometimes wonder what the participants would be doing if they were not attending this retreat. When not leading a retreat, I keep myself occupied with reading, writing, doing yoga and exercising in the morning. I also spend quality time with my two dogs as well as family and friends.

I see my lifestyle as a practice of living in harmony – it helps me to refresh myself, spiritually and mentally and it is something I would recommend to others as well. This is how I do it:

First – physical exercise. I do yoga asana and eat healthy and balanced meals.

Second – mental exercise. I am the owner of my brain, the organ that develops my ideas and thoughts. The brain controls what I am doing and what I am going to do. Therefore, I find it important to develop my brain.

Third – spiritual exercise. I believe that as a human being, I am also a spiritual being. I am not just a physical entity but also a spiritual one. Reading and having a good conversation are some of the ways I nurture my soul.

I encourage you to find out what works best for you personally. And do not forget, the path is the goal!
