In 1990, Vivienne decided to take a year off to travel through Asia. On a small island in Thailand, she was introduced to yoga. For one week, rising early every morning, she practiced yoga. Instantly she felt its profound impact and by the end of the week intuitively knew that yoga would become a large part of her life. Returning home, initially her practice was intermittent, but she soon learnt the value of consistent practice; how each day on the mat was fundamental to her yoga journey. After discovering Iyengar Yoga there was no looking back. It offered her a complete practice with vast challenges.

She did her teacher training in Melbourne and became a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in 1998. In 2000 she opened the Luna Yoga Studio in Fairfield. Set in an intimate and warm environment, the studio offers a dynamic yoga experience for beginners to advanced yoga students. Vivienne continues to upgrade her certification and travels regularly to Pune in India where she feels privileged to study directly under the Iyengar family.

Vivienne's aim as a teacher is to share her understanding of how yoga can transform us and our lives. She believes that a consistent and dedicated practice builds momentum that in turn allows us to develops our yoga skills. Together momentum and skill can carry us to great heights and lead to deep insight. She is passionate about sharing the experience that she has gained over 20 years of practicing and teaching Iyengar Yoga.

Vivienne wishes to bring together these two powerful components of a yoga practice - a framework in which students will develop consistency and a space in which they will be able to deepen and mature their yoga skills. Vivienne believes that through our practice of yoga we become grounded; more connected to our inner selves. She sees yoga as a practice that integrates, providing a platform for transformation.
