Gabriele is convinced that an active practice of Yin yoga is extremely beneficial for the mind and body. It stretches the fascia, connective tissues and ligaments, the target areas are the hips, spine, back and neck. By staying longer in the poses, we release tension in the body and move towards greater stillness within. After a 90 minutes Yin yoga session you feel relaxed, mindful and stress free. Your body is stretched, more flexible and your mind rested and meditative. People experiencing back problems usually report less pain or no pain at all, resulting from the myofascial release with tennis balls and blocks, often done prior to the Yin yoga practice. This allows moving easier and deeper into the stretches. Every Yin yoga practice ends with a guided relaxation.
