OWR Diary: June 2011

My favorite season in Bali has finally arrived, winter! Well, Balinese winter that is, here we call it the kite season. This morning the weather is perfect, a little breeze, clear sky and about 21 degrees, this will hopefully last for the next three months.

Since my last newsletter, Iyan and I went to Montreal on a nice holiday in March (now that was more like the real winter!) Oneworld has welcomed many guest teachers, Escape the World has been fully booked and Bridges made it to number 1 restaurant in Bali out of 750 restaurants. Needless to say that we are quite proud of this achievement. Life is good!

Dreams do come true! It is a matter of setting them, believing in them and letting life take its course, dreams can only take place if we have them, it is that simple! A while back, Iyan and I had a dream of doing retreats abroad, it first happened in The Netherlands in 2009 with a weekend workshop, then in 2010 in Thailand for a week retreat and now we are getting ready for a castle retreat in Bordeaux, France in September 2011, living in a ‘Chateau’ surrounded by vineyards, lake, forest for 7 nights, how exciting! See what we have prepared for this unique “Escape to Bordeaux” retreat. Now we hope you can join us!

Wishing you in the northern hemisphere a great summer and for our friends from down under, a not too cold winter!

Much love from Bali.
