Pre-festival retreat: Your Yoga – a Personal Practice

Friday, January 28th, 2011

From March 19 – 28

This unique pre-festival retreat includes private yoga sessions to help develop and refine your personalized yoga practice, bringing together a number of yoga traditions depending on your needs.

In group yoga classes we sometimes find ourselves practicing asana, yoga styles, sequences and breathing exercises that are not always best suited to own health needs, stress levels or personal growth goals. Combining group and private classes with workshops, this retreat will give you the skills to practice intelligent yoga poses with possible modifications during group led classes, and more importantly you will develop the tools to support your self-practice, perhaps making you less dependent on attending classes in order to do yoga.

At this retreat you will have an option to extend your stay for 4 more nights so that you can attend the Bali Spirit Festival! The BaliSpirit Festival, takes place from Wednesday night March 23 – Sunday March 27: it is an annual celebration of yoga, dance and music. Tickets can be bought on their website.

Flowing through Grace Yoga Retreat

Friday, December 31st, 2010

From February 6 – 11, 2011

Along with daily yoga and meditation classes, we will explore some of our favorite places on the Island of the Gods, experiencing true Balinese culture, participating in temple ceremonies and practicing alongside some of Bali’s natural wonders like Mt. Batur, one of three local volcano’s.

A daily asana practice, grounded in the traditions of Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yin, will help to invigorate and reconnect you with your body. Activities around Ubud will ensure that you get to experience Bali and its wonders, spa treatments will leave you relaxed and balanced and evening meditations will help you center and reconnect with your inner spirit.

We hope that you can join us in this magical place, which has become so dear to us. We have yet to find a more supportive environment for yoga, healing or relaxation than this beautiful island and we would love to share it and the gifts of yoga with you.
